A vibrant day of environmental education, participation, and international cooperation took place at the Legambiente Environmental Education Centre in Grosseto, where the PARCCE Erasmus+ Project hosted a successful multiplier event involving primary and lower secondary schools, teachers, educators, and project partners.
The event represented an important opportunity to present and share the educational activities, methodologies, and tools developed throughout the PARCCE project by the international consortium composed of partners from Cyprus, France, Greece, and Italy. Through collaborative work and exchange of experiences, the project continues to promote innovative approaches to climate education and active citizenship among younger generations.
Around 150 students participated in the initiative, taking part in outdoor workshops, interactive laboratories, and hands-on educational experiences focused on climate awareness, environmental sustainability, and environmental responsibility. The activities encouraged students to reflect on the challenges posed by the climate crisis while also discovering the importance of cooperation, participation, and everyday sustainable actions.
The enthusiasm and active involvement shown by the students throughout the day highlighted the central role that younger generations play in building a more sustainable future. Their curiosity, creativity, and willingness to engage demonstrated how environmental education can become a powerful tool for change when combined with practical experiences and collective participation.
The multiplier event also strengthened the connection between schools, local communities, and international partners, reinforcing the shared commitment of the PARCCE project to foster environmental awareness and empower young people across Europe.
