MIO-ESCDE, Greece (Leader)
MIO-ECSDE is an Athens-based Federation of 133 Organisations from Mediterranean countries working in the fields of environment and sustainability. Its mission is to protect the Natural Environment and Cultural Heritage and promote Sustainable Development in a peaceful Mediterranean. Its long-lasting initiative on education, MEdIES, is a network of ~ 6,000 practitioners of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

Pedagogical Institute of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport & Youth, Cyprus
The Cyprus Pedagogical Institute (CPI) is a Department of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Min-EduCY-CPI) aiming at meeting the raising needs of the teachers in all levels of Education. The institutes’ main activities are professional teachers’ training (pre-primary, primary, secondary, VET), educational research and evaluation, educational documentation, educational technology, curriculum development and promotion of innovations in Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development.
Legambiente Festabiente APS, Italy
Legambiente Festambiente Aps (CFE-IT) is a branch of the national headquarter of Legambiente, one of the most widespread environmental organisation in Italy acknowledged as association of environmental interest by the Italian Ministry of Environment. It represents the UNEP National Committee for Italy, it is one of the leading members of EEB (European Environmental Bureau) and of IUCN. Constant interest in raising ecological awareness in citizens, one of the core activities of the association is the environmental education. It is addressed to all target levels, students, teachers, citizens, administrative and institutional bodies by non-formal education activities and citizen science events. Legambiente Festambiente Aps runs several projects and initiatives on climate changes mitigation addressed to students and teachers included the beach litter monitoring, waste reuse and recycling awareness campaigns, and it is active partner in climate change adaptation projects addressed to farmers and citizens: since February 2019, Legambiente Festambiente has become the seat of the first Legambiente National Center for Agro-ecology and climate change effects.

Pernera Primary School, Cyprus
Dimotiko Scholeio Pernera (SCHPER-CY) is a public primary school situated in the rural area of Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus. The school promotes different types of education and promote formal and non-formal education through several activities inside or outside the school (e.g. museum education, environmental education). The school carries out activities concerning children’s literature and works for creating a comfortable place where to stay and learn for the students.
U Marinu, France
The association U Marinu (UM-FR) labeled CPIE Bastia Golo Méditerranée has been founded in 1994. Its objectives’ are sensitization, education of sustainable development and support for local actors. Its keywords are education, sustainable development , the Mediterranean and themes like marine and terrestrial biodiversity, waste and waste reuse, climate change. U Marinu also intervenes with citizens and professionals on this issues through conferences, practical workshops, face to face discussion, such as during the Med Educ conference or campaign of sensibilization of public in beaches and harbours. U Marinu counts externals collaborations with experts such as the University of Corsica. U Marinu is part of several networks such as “Union National des CPIE”, “Réseau Euromed France”, “Fondation Anna Lindh”.
PANEPISTIMIO KRITIS, Greece
The University of Crete (PAN-KRIT-GR) is a multi-disciplinary, research-oriented public educational institution. Located at campuses in Heraklion and Rethymno (Crete), it offers a vibrant social and intellectual environment for research and education, committed to excellence. Founded in 1973, the UoC opened to students in the academic year 1977-’78 and now includes 16 Departments in 5 Schools (Philosophy, Education, Social, Economic & Political Sciences, Sciences & Engineering, and Medicine) and a number of affiliated research-oriented institutions (Skinakas Observatory, the Natural History Museum, and the University General Hospital). The international orientation of the UoC is reflected in its collaborations with many of the leading research and educational institutions in Europe and worldwide, as well as active promotion of mobility and exchange programs, which established it as a “European Success Story” in 2010.

Istituto Comprensivo Grosseto 4, Italy
The Grosseto 4 Institute is a public school institute that include 4 schools: n. 1 kindergarten (3-5 pupils aged 3-5), n. 2 primary schools (aged pupils 6-11) and n. 1 secondary schools (aged students 11-14). It is located in the South of Tuscany, Italy, in a rural and touristic area and the schools are located in the town of Grosseto, capital of the Province. There are 1043 students: 165 in the kindergarten, 528 in the primary schools, 350 in the secondary school and a total of 109 teachers. The school is currently being involved in a number of environmental education projects with the aim of increasing awareness and knowledge about environmental issues and problems. The school educational programs, in collaboration with the Municipality of Grosseto, and other local associations include: raising awareness of environmental protection, promotion of good practices of recycling, developing environmental projects, making students aware of a different environment through the care of an education and synergistic garden, taking part in science projects about pollinating insects.
1st Rafina's Primary School, Greece
The 1st Primary School of Rafina (SCHRAF-GR) has a history of over 80 years and it is located in the centre of the city of Rafina. Since the 2016-2017 school year, the 1st Primary School of Rafina has been selected by the Ministry of Education to host the local Center of Refugee Children Education (ΔΥΕΠ). During the 2016-2017 and 2017-18 school years, single-parent refugee children, mainly from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, participated in the afternoon classes organized by the school, which aim to familiarize the children with the Greek language and culture. Pedagogical innovation is the main feature of the school. Over the years, it has consistently initiated innovative, project based educational programmes, in the areas of health, culture, environment, science and information and communication technologies.
Montesoro College, France
College Montesoro (SCHMON-FR) is a public middle school. It has 700 students (10 to 14 years old) and 35 teachers. The school is involved in sustainable development with multiples collaboration with public and private organism (Cerema,Syvadec, EDF, Collectivité de Corse).Teachers involved are experts in energy and ecology and have experience in scientific research (data analyses and synthesis). Teachers have been trained by Cerema (French public agency for developing public expertise in the fields of urban planning, regional cohesion and ecological and energy transition).

DOUKAS Primary Private School, Greece
It is a private school, with 1600 students. They have organized many Conferences on Education, & New Technologies, STE(A)M, Artificial Intelligences etc., and it was identified as a Pathfinder School by Microsoft for its innovative educational practices and its potential to create scalable and replicableeducational transformation that can influence schools within Greece and around the world.
1st Experimental Primary School of Pyrgos, Greece
It is school in an agricultural setting, with more than 350 pupils. Thanks to their involvement in Climate Action projects for more than 10 years they have won the School Award of Excellence for Climate Action.
