On March 26, 2026, the second Italian National IEM Webinar of the PARCCE project was held, marking an important milestone in the project’s information and training pathway for the Italian educational community.
The event brought together over one hundred participants, both online and in person, including university students, institutional representatives, formal and non-formal educators active in environmental organizations, and teachers from across Italy. The high level of participation confirms the strong interest in the topics addressed by the project.
During the webinar, participants explored in a structured way the use of augmented reality as an innovative educational tool, capable of delivering effective and engaging messages to students. The approach is based on the learning by doing method and supported by digital applications integrated into the educational materials developed by the University of Crete – Edivea Lab.
The Italian project partner school IC4 Grosseto shared its experience with students, who were among the first to test the AR activities developed by the PARCCE consortium.
The materials produced, together with access to the online IEM training course and the recording of the event, will be made available to the project’s network of Italian schools—comprising over 6,000 contacts—through PARCCE’s web channels and newsletter.
Furthermore, the materials will be shared on the Legambiente Scuola e Formazione platform, making them accessible to Legambiente’s 500 local branches and regional committees across Italy, as well as to the wider network of educators and teachers involved in training activities.
