A Day for Nature: Children and Educators Come Together for a Greener Future at the Tree Festival

As part of the “Tree Festival” in Castiglione della Pescaia (Tuscany – Italy), Legambiente Festambiente environmental educators celebrated nature alongside 120 young participants from the O. Orsini Comprehensive Institute with a special activity 🌼. After enjoying a beautiful reading about trees and pollinating insects, elementary and preschool children took part in planting species beneficial to pollinators 🐝🦋.

This experience, organized within the framework of the PARCCE Erasmus+ program, blends play, learning, and concrete action for the environment. Each seed planted is not just a symbolic gesture, but a step toward a greener planet, rich in biodiversity, and in harmony with nature 💚.

Events dedicated to the Tree Festival have been held throughout Italy, with the goal of educating students on the importance and care of plants and forests. Educating students about the significance of plants and forests is crucial in reducing temperatures during the increasingly hot summer seasons caused by climate change.
